Put on The Lord Jesus Christ

Scripture:
Galatians 3:26-27 For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.

Observation:
This scripture, written by the Apostle Paul, has so many things to say that you have to read it a few times just so you don't miss anything. Let me try to dissect it so we don't miss anything.

1. You are a child of God
2. You are a child of God because of faith in Christ Jesus.
3. Baptism unites you with Christ.
4. Through baptism you have put on Christ like putting on new clothes.

Application:
Sometimes I forget that I am united with Jesus Christ. Sometimes I forget that Christ is in me. Sometimes I forget that I am a new creation. Even a butterfly doesn't try to go back to being a caterpillar. I am so thankful that the joy of the Lord is never far away.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for making me your child. Thank you for giving me heaven instead of hell, even though I deserve hell. Thank you for sending Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins. Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen
