Scripture:
2 kings 5:14-15 So Naaman went down to the Jordan River and dipped himself seven times, as the man of God had instructed him. And his skin became as healthy as the skin of a young child’s, and he was healed! Then Naaman and his entire party went back to find the man of God. They stood before him, and Naaman said, “Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant.”
Observation:
Naaman wanted to be healed of leprosy. Instead of just being healed, he became a believer in the true God of Israel. Before he was healed he worshipped the god Rimmon. But after this miraculous experience his eyes were opened to the truth.
Application:
God desires to heal, and to help us and to do miracles in our lives. But he does these things to bring glory to His name. Its always to point us to Him. Sometimes I get so used to God helping me when I'm in trouble, I forget to stop and take time to worship Him and give Him the glory.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, your name is so wonderful, you are so glorious! I just want to thank you for my salvation, thank you for my Savior Jesus Christ. I have a treasure in Heaven that no one can take from me. In Jesus name. Amen!
