Complete in Christ

Scripture:

(Ephesians 3:19) May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Observation:

This one scripture holds the key to life and the answer to everything we long for. Let me break this verse down because you might miss it all:

1. We need to experience the love of Christ
2. The love of Christ is so great our minds can't fully understand it
3. We can spend the rest of our lives learning about the love of Christ
4. Experiencing the love of Christ makes us complete
5. Experiencing the love of Christ makes us totally fulfilled in life
6. Experiencing the love of Christ gives us power
7. Anything we experience outside of Christ does not fulfill us

Application:

Sometimes we look to other things to fulfill us and complete us. We figure, "I already have Jesus, that's out of the way now, what else is there for me out there?" The Apostle Paul is telling us that Jesus is not only the beginning of our lives but he is also the end. Everything we need is contained in the person and work and love of Jesus, the Son of God. Every single day of my life, I want to focus on Jesus and his love for me. I need to learn more about HIM, experience more of HIM, tell others about HIM. Then I will be complete and fulfilled and live with power.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank you for leaving Heaven and becoming a man, thank you for suffering and dying for my sins, thank you for taking my place even though I am the guilty one. Thank you so much for your love. Thank you for allowing me to spend eternity with you. In Jesus name, Amen!
