In Him

Scripture:

Colossians 2:6-7     And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

Observation:

The scripture tells us 3 important things: 

1) continue to follow him

2) let your roots grow down into him

3) let your lives be built on him

What is the result? 2 things:

1) your faith will grow strong

2) you will overflow with thankfulness

Application:

It is all about him! Jesus Christ! Jesus said (John 14:6)"I am the way, the truth and the life." Sometimes I get so caught up in Christian duties that I forget that nothing is more important than my relationship with Jesus. The Apostle Paul said everything else was garbage compared to knowing his Savior Jesus Christ.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank you for my salvation. Thank you for adopting me into your family. I did nothing to deserve the gift of eternal life, but by your grace you give freely to those who ask. Keep me on the right path, give me the strength I need to run the race till the end. In Jesus name, Amen!
